Misty in Roots started late due to some sound issues. They sound bloody great right now though - so it's all good

Jerry Dammers just played a killer killer killer James Brown instrumental I've never heard before. Organ and guitar-led - and laden with horns. An early cut for sure. I will now never rest until I own this tune. Please feel VERY free to post any candidates below
@gordydjgg.bsky.social would love this, I reckon. Lovely to hear this stuff through a nice sound system
Schlepping right across London in a wheelchair for some sweet #reggae music in the sunshine today. I've been mostly confined to my sofa for weeks - so this feels quite big.
It's 'Age of Love' by Jam and Spoon at this party now. What an amazing tune. Still tough. It's it too early for #RaveyardShift ?
Currently playing a few tunes at an old friends birthday party. Sun setting over the patio. About to play 'Sunshine's Better' and tipping my metaphorical hat to @louiseann.bsky.social
#NowPlaying. I can confirm this sounds completely wicked on a summer Saturday morning too. Thanks for inspiring me to play this classic @bronxcheerleader.bsky.social
I'm seriously considering putting this on my all time Top 20 fave 🇯🇲 albums list. Gonna be tough kicking a great album off the Top 20, but it has to be done. A summer Friday night staple. So goddamn great.

Never been a Beatles fan boy- so never sat down to listen to the George Harrison album. Until yesterday. Loving it. A lot. Apparently it's all the songs that Lennon and McCartney basically rejected. Some lovely stuff imo. I keep rewinding 'Hear Me Lord' in particular
Is “pragmatic” the new, “grown up” word? Andy, there’s nothing “pragmatic” about drilling for more oil & gas - to even consider it with the planet literally on fire is total madness. How many times must we say it will do nothing for energy bills or security? It would be an act of utter recklessness

Here you go, @johnbaldy.bsky.social Not sure if I've got the brief quite right, but here is the sound of folk & country music getting strange. I had to stop at around 1974 as I was already 5 hours in! Hope you like it. open.spotify.com/playlist/0b0...

@nportnell.bsky.social By any chance, do you have a handy playlist that would be in the middle of a Venn diagram of folk, country and psychedelia? I know you know loads of great stuff I don't - and you've already introduced me to so much great music - so my fingers are tightly crossed.

I just spent an hour in a cab with JazzFM playing. Given the name of the station, there was not a lot of actual jazz played.
Just bought tickets for this #reggae at the weekend. Looking forward to it. Jerry Dammers should play quite a deep selection - I'm hoping so anyway. Don't really know the other acts yet - other than Misty In Roots

I know Andy Burnham recently ruled out an early election but he must be increasingly tempted. If Farage's majority decreases against Binface in Clacton, then NF is surely political toast. I've put a speculative fiver on a GE this year.
