Every time some big chain goes out of business, check to see if they were bought by private equity 10-20 years ago. The answer is almost always yes. These companies don't go under because of their business, but because leveraged buyouts are a scam.
Okay now ask how many people are okay with insurance companies withholding life saving medical care?

Hank Green@hankgreen.bsky.social · 2y agoI tested my “can I just get home from the airport because I know someone on the flight” theory and I did know someone on the flight be she was Ubering home and that doesn’t count, so I just stood around until someone was like “are you Hank Green?” And I was like, “Yes, are you headed downtown?”
I’m trying to imagine the bubble of amoral corporate douchery you have to live in to think that saying “we guard against unnecessary care” is better than just shutting the fuck up.
