sometimes my phone screen is too dim so i'll take a minute to hold him up to a lamp to inspire him. when i turn him back around his screen is once more bright and cheerful. who else can we hold to the light in this way. who else needs to remember how good they can be

Streaming apps interrupting credits. Even on a streaming box, every app has a different way to get back to the credits before the emergency 10-second countdown to autoplay something else. If you do it wrong, you have to start the video from the beginning and FF to the end. And it'll interrupt again.

I'm working on a column about the tech annoyances that drive us crazy, and I want it to be as universal as possible, so tell me yours! E.g. scanning a QR code to read a menu, never receiving the one-time passcode they supposedly texted you, "verify you're human" by IDing tiny motorcycles, etc.
