Until progressives on the east coast wake up and demand their elected officials rapidly transition from fossil fuels and put moratoriums on new methane production and data centers, it's just going to get worse. Maybe this'll get folks to wake up and make this their one voting issue, hopefully!

Some good stuff in here, but I think it’s worth clarifying that the pipe replacement discussed in the piece is focused on leak *prone* pipe, not actively leaking pipe. Pipes can be leak-prone based on their age and material (cast iron, unprotected steel, certain old plastics, etc)
