Free cyclists' breakfast this Saturday morning in London Fields! Would be great to see you there, either to help out or just to have a chat.
New separated cycle lanes popping up on Shaftesbury Ave. All it takes is political will + the removal of some unnecessary parking spaces. London is becoming a cycling city, reflecting a generational shift that recognises driving in urban areas as slow, inefficient use of time.
Englishness, for my money, is not being interested in defining Englishness, but if one had to upon pain of death, this must come close.
Stop waiting for the cavalry. You are the cavalry. @hackneycouncil.bsky.social
If we’re serious about traffic reduction, every opportunity must be taken to embed it in policy. This small scheme shows how it often isn’t happening. Read our blogpost here. www.lowtraffichackney.org/latest-news/...
Come on @islington-council.bsky.social It's been 48hrs since the parade. These barriers need collecting and the streets need sorting out. #finsburypark #arsenal

South East Water customers in Whitstable still without supply due to high demand during heatwave
South East Water says it planned for the hot weather but demand outstripped the speed at which it could pump treated water to customers' homes.

The timeline is astonishing considering all the involved agencies were politically aligned. Over 10 years of inaction. I wonder if it's time to get all the parties back around the table? @londoncycling.bsky.social
Today I joined fellow campaigners asking where is cycleway 50? Announced in 2018 by @london.gov.uk With yet another fatal collision on the route last week. What will it take for TfL to take cycling seriously?
Cargo bike people, without effort, are addressing each and every "but what if you need to haul" question that carbrains throw at us.

A great thread... So many politicians still think that issues their constituents raise can be fixed by turning back time, rather than future planning.
Nobody is disputing that Putney has a horrible traffic problem. The issue here is that actually doing something about this chronic congestion requires *measures to curb car use*, which demands much more political bravery than blaming someone else, somewhere else, for not spending £100s of millions
Lots of London boroughs continue to prioritise the convenience of Range Rover drivers over the safety of Londoners. This is @rbkc.gov.uk who shamefully removed a cycle lane here.
Good evening Bluesky! Welcome to the live thread of the Hackney 2026 Mayoral Active Travel hustings. A full house here at the Pembury Community centre. We are joined by the 🟥🟩🟦 parties
I have a father and mother in law in Iran. I have a sister in law. A niece. She's 14. She likes silly pink headbands and purses and dresses, just like kids her age all over the world. There are 93 million people like her in Iran. People who do all the normal mundane life things as the rest of us.
16 years ago Finsbury Park was home to #antiracism and music. Now @wirelessfestival.bsky.social are platforming antisemite #Kanye whilst @haringeylabour.bsky.social let it happen. Shameful stuff in our community
A reminder from a few hundred thousand people: there are far more good people who oppose racism and discrimination than support it. #Together
Sending love and solidarity to our dedicated and inspiring Hatzola colleagues, who work alongside our emergency services in North London. Their hard-working volunteers provide emergency healthcare support to those in need. Atrocious that they have been targeted in this way.

Raskin: "The dictators of the world have got nothing to fear from this hearing. Republicans called it to attack our democratic allies in Europe. The star witness is not a human rights leader like Navalny, but a far-right pro-Putin politician who leads the UK Reform Party."
Had yet another person knock on my door saying their stolen phone was located in my house today. 3rd in 2 months. Is find my iPhone not that good or are the phones in the local "second hand" phone shop 50metres away?
