Visited Calder Gardens this weekend. Pros: Incredible harmony of art and building. Possibly the best modern act of architecture in Philadelphia. Cons: Not one single piece of text anywhere. Who is Calder? When did he make this stuff? I have no further idea after visiting.

A red Calder sculpture. Dunno anything more about because the museum doesn't bother to explain anything.

There's a pocket of Philly that's nearly impossible to believe: old farmhouses, hundreds of acres of forest, foxes running across front yards. Now squeezed by development and climate change, what will it take to preserve this last bit of wild Philadelphia?

The Final Wilderness in Philadelphia Is Under Attack

Upper Roxborough is the last rural corner of Philadelphia, a place where forests and fields reign. Squeezed by development and climate change, how much longer can it last?

Random music fact: The identity of the female backing vocalist in Live's "Lightning Crashes" remains unknown, according to Wikipedia. I also assume it has to be only radio hit to use the word "placenta."
