Trump still has veto power. So unless or until we remove Putin puppet pedophile traitor scum Trump in 2028 (or sooner?) , and/or secure 67 Senate votes to override criminal Trump’s vetoes, little legislation can be passed. At least we’ve now ended/paused Putin/Trump Fascist “consolidation of power”.

So we the people living in fear, now get the option to feel the Nazis off our backs?/s Maybe end the Conservative Christian family value of hate too, you know ICE.

I'm a Churchill guy, and have always liked his epigraph to his World War II history: MORAL OF THE WORK In War: Resolution In Defeat: Defiance In Victory: Magnanimity In Peace: Good Will. But tbh I'm not sure I'm on board, in the current situation, with In Victory: Magnanimity. 🤷‍♂️

not only was this the first truly decisive election in 15 years, not only was it the first real repudiation the MAGA Republican Party has experienced, but it is an earthquake in the South. with investment — and with laws protecting the right to vote — the whole region could be blue.

For history buffs: NYT: "It will dwarf even the margins that the Republicans won in their two big landslide victories of modern times when they defeated congressional Democrats when Bill Clinton held the White House in 1994 and Barack Obama was president in 2010." www.nytimes.com/2026/11/04/u...

If you’re wondering why we didn’t see this result in 2024, it’s because most voters aren’t motivated by anything other than how they’re affected. That’s why we see the same patterns every cycle. I hope we can break that cycle.

extremely hilarious to me personally that everywhere they sent vance to campaign the candidates got the shit slapped out of them

Democrat Jasmine Clark won her race in Georgia’s 13th Congressional District, Decision Desk HQ projects. Clark, who received her doctorate in microbiology from Emory University, is set to be the first-ever Black woman Ph.D. scientist to serve in Congress. https://bit.ly/4sFKGdH

A person wearing glasses and a blue T-shirt with the name "Dr. Jasmine Clark" stands in a corridor. The text announces that Democrat Jasmine Clark wins the Georgia U.S. House election in 2026. The text highlights that this makes them the first Black woman Ph.D. scientist in Congress. The background features a purple banner with the words "Election 2026" and a Georgia state outline.

It’s incredibly important to recognize that Democrats running up the score so high they exceeded the margins of fuckery is not a sign of democratic health. It is a time-limited reprieve to secure the government before we lose it. This was the failure of the Biden Era that cannot be repeated.

Not unexpected, but very cool nonetheless: the corporate power reset, aka the Montana Plan, aka our attempt to end-run Citizens United, won a sweeping victory in Montana.

reminder as Talarico wipes the floor with Ken Paxton that Donald Trump pushed John Cornyn out for a historically terrible candidate. He owns this result.
