Back from a week at the cottage. Being out in the woods is really nice, but who buy did this stinky boy miss having access to good water pressure

I’d initially just assumed that those “Jimothy the raccoon” videos were just AI or something. Now I’m learning they’re not, and I’m very excited about it
I am not a climate scientist but when I was a kid the number of times we couldn’t go outside because of Canadian wildfire smoke was zero times
The city smells like burning right now, and a bunch of folks just lost their homes. Apparently the email for sending monetary donations to people who’ve been evacuated from Collins, Whitesand and Armstrong due to wildfires is: donations@whitesandfirstnation.com
Using the Trump threat as an excuse to ignore GHG emissions & bolster the fossil fuel industry isn’t in Canada’s best interests. The rich get richer while the vulnerable suffer & Canada burns. Wildfires destroy homes in First Nation, prompt large evacuations www.aptnnews.ca/national-new...

These images of First Nations community members evacuating Collins, Ontario on motorboats are absolutely surreal www.facebook.com/reel/1548244...
These photos of FNs community members fleeing their homes by boat are genuinely apocalyptic (Photo via Wayne Wastaken of Collins, Ontario, who says his “hometown is gone”) www.facebook.com/share/r/1ArN...
Walking the dog today, couldn’t help but notice that the sky is orange and the air smells vaguely of burning tires
Just encountered a fun new email scam! So quick reminder to my fellow authors, that Goodreads mods will never contact authors directly or ask for money in exchange for “spotlighting your book”
So I didn't time this on purpose, but just in time for disability pride month, I've revved up my comic about disability onset, and will be doing weekly updates going forward! if you would enjoy a whimsical but pointed discussion of the challenges of disability onset, check it out here:

Heat waves. Thanks to @climateadam.bsky.social's most recent video, which helped inform this comic and gave me the kick I needed to make it.
Later this summer! I’m very excited to get to be part of the team running workshops at @thebentway.bsky.social again. August 25th, we’re going to be doing drawing games and being silly and having a lot of fun.
Free to download, and printable on standard Avery 5164 shipping label stickers. Enjoy!
On my walk with Josh today, a random stranger yelled at us “Hey! Big brother! Too small! Too small!” Wasn’t sure whether to take it as a compliment or an insult
Today is TCAF’s Libraries and Education day! Come stop by to see Josh talk about educational comics with a bunch of other cool folks at 3pm!
Did you know it’s the Toronto Comics Arts Festival next week? Josh is very excited about it. Come visit him next weekend and tell him he should be put the same energy he puts into comic shows into petting his dog.
The cover for Josh’s next GN is out in the wild! “Science Comics: Wildfires” is releasing next Spring from @01firstsecond.bsky.social Learn the science of fire, how we manage it, and why we’re talking about it so much these days us.macmillan.com/books/978125... #kidlit #edusky #coverreveal
Josh claims to be “training me to walk more calmly.” As far as I can tell, this mostly involves Josh taking us to back alleys and walking us in circles over and over. Not really sure what it’s accomplishing, but it’s funny to watch Josh get kind of dizzy after awhile
Josh gave me another warmup page. This one has a guy with no shirt
I told Josh he needed to give me more art to share on here, so here’s a random sketch page he gave me. I don’t know why he drew himself looking annoyed while I shower him with affection. That part must have been a mistake
Strange creature spotted on today’s walk. Josh says its name is “Dwayne Johnson.”
