In the fifties both of my grandfathers would have been coming home from their stints abroad. Paternal grandpa served on a base in Europe, returned home to a foreman at a carpet manufacturer and married his secretary. Maternal grandpa returned from Korea and worked for the IRS.

The funny thing is, the chuds hate this version of the Odyssey because Nolan cast trans and non-white actors but if they actually were media literate, they'd hate this version of the Odyssey because it adopts their civilizational frame and then violently rejects *them* and their ideology.

one of my unpopular (to americans) opinions is that primaries are a pretty flawed way of choosing candidates and only superficially have more democratic legitimacy than “smoke-filled rooms”

Candidates are not more legitimate just because they were selected via a primary. Parties regularly select candidates and then voters, in an election, tell the party if they liked them or not.
let this be a lesson to deal with your feelings of gender anxiety and masculine inadequacy with a hobby or therapy or something and not a high stakes senate election
