Only during vacation I take the time reading books and the first I chose to read this year was @drkatemarvel.bsky.social's Human Nature. Despite family duties took only two days, although I needed to ask my wife with vocabulary here and there 😃. I particularly enjoyed her references to history

Letter in today's Times by climate scientist Sir Brian Hoskins: "The discourse around net-zero is increasingly decoupled from…science and our changing weather. "Net-zero is not an arbitrary slogan, rather it is dictated by the laws of physics."

Researchers analyzed 40 years of satellite greenness data and tracked the center of mass of global vegetation. They found that the planet’s center of greenness has been shifting northward and eastward and that this movement has accelerated over the past decade. eos.org/articles/ear...

with the info of cloud condensation nuclei within boundary layer, aerosol forcing uncertainty can reduce by 1/3. Very much looking forward to such products from satellite. Thanks to all collaborators for this exciting work!
