The Scottish Greens have included UBI in their manifesto, alongside free bus travel, as part of a broader vision to tackle inequality and improve access to essential services. As elections approach, basic income is becoming an increasingly popular policy. zurl.co/utQbq

“We cannot say that the United States’ actions are against international law, but we condemn Iran’s retaliatory actions as against international law,” is neither a coherent nor a compelling position.
This is not a reasoned political response. Labour has spent two years making all the voting groups who backed the Greens feel unwelcome and unheard, and now attacks them for daring to back someone else. They believe Labour isn’t listening and Starmer seems determined to prove them right
"Their willingness to welcome Galloway's divisive, sectarian politics is a sign that the Greens are not the harmless environmentalists they pretend to be and their position on legalising all drugs shows how unstable this electoral coalition is. It cannot survive a general election campaign. (5/16)
Spot on - and on full display this morning on BBC, Sky etc.
A warning. All the worst people in the country are now shitting themselves. The mother of all campaigns is now going to be directed against the Green Party. It will be an unrelenting smear campaign. The Greens need to be ready for that - and so does everyone on the left.
Turnout up and a win with more than 40% of the vote. Superb 💚
Excellent news - and clearly the right decision. Hopefully the government see sense and decide against appealing. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026...

First Gorton and Denton. Then Wales. Green-induced political earthquakes incoming. @walesgreenparty.bsky.social 💚
Labour is briefing that they know they won't win the Gorton and Denton by election. The Greens are favourites and are the only party that can stop Reform. Lower bills, tax the rich, protect the NHS. We will win.
Said this to @ceritheviking.bsky.social earlier today. Worth repeating. Burnham must be thanking the election gods on Labour’s NEC. No way he would have won that seat after this. Bullet dodged. PM Rayner incoming…

Putting the numbers into @jaclarner.bsky.social’s Senedd election simulator, suggests the following potential Senedd composition: Interestingly, these numbers put Plaid very close to majority govt or, more likely, a vaguely comfortable life as a minority administration? #senedd #devolution
A new Welsh political reality melting poll, courtesy of @yougov.co.uk @walesgovernance.bsky.social @itvnews.bsky.social, of Welsh voting intentions (change since Sept): Plaid 37% (+7) Reform 23% (-6) Greens 13% (+7) Labour 10% (-4) Cons 10% (-1) LibDems 5% (-1) Others 2% (-2) #senedd #devolution
Wow. Well done all involved. Looking forward to seeing @anthonyslaughter.bsky.social and many more in the Senedd very soon. #VoteGreen 💚
Great progress in new poll for Wales. Absolutely no complacency though. We're campaigning for every vote between now and May 7th. Wales needs rent controls, nationalised water and funded public services. To do that, Wales needs to vote Green.

Israel’s ban on 37 humanitarian organisations, including Doctors Without Borders, from entering Gaza is another war crime. The Green Party condemns this decision and calls for immediate international action to protect humanitarian actors.

If only there were some way, mathematically, to defeat 33% of the population. Alas, it is impossible, and Labour have no choice but to acquiesce to their every demand and nevertheless accept their humiliating defeat as a fait accompli.
