old Soviet joke for our times: Guy stops by the newsstand every day, scans the front page, doesn’t buy the paper. One day the vendor asks what he’s up to. Guy says: “looking for an obituary.” Vendor says “those are towards the back of the paper, comrade.” Guy says: “not the one I’m looking for.”

I haven't changed my tone on crypto from day one. This reserve is the Big Scam(tm). I don't argue with y'all. I don't pretend that my decades of academic and lived experience are equal to your 2 second searches and misplaced confidence. I'm not here to make you feel more knowledgeable than you are

A week ago, Pam Bondi went on Fox News claiming the files were sitting on her desk. Now, in a fabricated letter to Kash Patel, she insists she never received them. Congrats on shifting the news cycle. Lie better.

Letter from Pam Bondi to Kash Patel that demands to know why she didn’t receive Epstein files and demanding an investigation.

lol this take is DRENCHED in privilege. Marginalized people cannot afford to be apolitical because our very identity IS POLITICAL. Activism isn't some cute hobby folks are engaging in. People are advocating for their SURVIVAL. bsky.app/profile/stev...

This isn't meant to be a dunk, but I'm genuinely surprised when people don't understand that journalists generally cannot take part in activism if they want to be taken seriously as journalists

Next year, the EU will require cars to have buttons & dials -- not just touchscreens -- to get a top safety rating. This is a great move. Drivers can fiddle with knobs & buttons without taking their eyes off the road, but they can't do that with touchscreens. (Even better: Tesla will hate this)

Cars will need fewer screens and more buttons to earn five-star safety rating in Europe

Euro NCAP will release new testing guidelines in 2026.

Maddow: I think it is a bad mistake to let Joy Reid walk out the door. It is also unnerving to see that on a network where we've got two nonwhite hosts in primetime, both of our nonwhite hosts in primetime are losing their shows, as is Katie Phang on the weekend. I do not defend it.

The best way to confront a bully about the misinformation he is spreading is to confront him in front of everyone. Macron just did that.

Just an unbelievable own goal that the party—and specifically Pelosi, who had great strengths as Speaker—put an ancient and not nimble messenger in this key public committee spot instead of @Aoc who is absolutely one of the best comms people in entire party.

Asked what he recommends federal workers do, Gerry Connolly says: "I guess if you can, cover yourself and do the five things you did last week"

I just wish that we actually cared about antisemitism in this country. But instead yall had congressional hearings vilifying students and faculty (of all races & ethnicities) protesting genocide and silence with actual sieg heiling by white suprmacists.
