Preprint for the first manuscript of the Angueyra Lab is out! We delve deep into cell-fate decisions during photoreceptor development and discover that the 𝘵𝘣𝘹2 paralogues play multiple roles to control the fate of the five photoreceptor subtypes in zebrafish.

One of our dissection scopes (rescued from another lab) has a knob that's very sticky. Asked Zeiss about disassembly instructions to clean it out and they pointed out that this scope dates to before the fall of the Berlin wall (and no documentation available). So, still working at ~40 years!
