Microsoft knows how to make money

But is it smart in allocating that money to AI services and capex? Here's my take on the FY26 Q4 financial results from MSFT.

On July 29, Microsoft released their FY26 Q4 results. We learned that Microsoft 365 Copilot has 30 million paid seats, but that's still less than 7% of M365.

With Microsoft's "Project Perception", I think that Security Copilot as we knew it is, well, on hiatus. Obviously the two share plumbing, since you pay for perception via SCUs anyway. But it seems like the costly, complex, and cumbersome approach initially proposed for Security Copilot is dead.

A telling passage from Zuck's WSJ op-ed: "Imagine everyone has a superintelligent lawyer. Justice would be carried out much more fairly and efficiently than it is today." I'm really not sure this is true!
