I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I keep thinking about how games aren't a necessity. They are important, and the right game at the right time can save a life, but they are ultimately a luxury. I think this means we have an extra duty to minimize the collateral harm of our work and processes. Relying on genAI for dev opposes that.
