Once I got older I realized that if anything I wish they'd taken the instruction of it a bit more seriously! (I don't think my poor teacher knew how to play the recorder herself)

Asian action genres like tokusatsu, kaiju, martial arts are seen as "cheap" "low budget" genres (they are)! But even a multibillion company falters at "doing it themselves" because what enables these productions isn't a quantifiable resource you can put on an Excel spreadsheet, but "skill" & "craft"

As has always been the case, people who push AI as the future and want you to just accept it because "everyone is doing it" also know that the only value AI has is when no one can tell you're using it. If something is only good when you lie and try to hide that you're using it, it's not good.

Every so often it happens that I get this itch to give Kingdom Hearts another chance and then I remember what 4 looks like and that feeling just dies, to lay dormant once again until I forget once more.

Fifteen years ago, in the classroom, wikipedia was annoying because it was hard to describe to kids who relied on it why it wasn't a good source to cite in a paper. Now, it's the final remaining example of citational responsibility any of them have ever seen.

Lowkey excellent thing about Wikipedia: accurately describing the extremism and lies of right-wingers because its sole concern is provable truth, while the media tiptoes around accurately describing whats happening to avoid appearing “biased” against the extremists and liars

Art tip: don't share everything you draw. Draw things you never intend to show anyone. Your brain needs time to just exist in a state that's not about performing for strangers. This used to be the normal way to exist before social media poisoned us.

I need this energy going forward because it’s so hard for me to stay positive about anything art related at my current age.🥲
