I don't know this story, but the idea makes me deeply upset. I had my own toy till I was 16, being autistic these things are important...and I bet this is for compliance, ABA at its worse. Don't do this...it's brutal.
Jodi Jacobson@jljacobson.bsky.social · 21h agoPhysical abuse is horrific. But emotional abuse gets too little attention. And adult who takes their 2-year-old's bunny, which she uses for self-soothing, is rabidly spiteful.
Good news I think my thesis is done. Bad news my Dr at Walton Centre thinks I've got hemicrania continua and I will probably need some injections in my brain. Plus side I'm getting alot of scans of my head... and i got a new dress. So mixed start to the week 🤣

The interesting thing about school closures during covid (agree with them or not) is they had much less impact on long-term academic outcomes than people expected (me included). But much more long-term impact on mental health and attendance.
Soild piece from @daisychristo.bsky.social who I always seem to like reading. 👏👏 Personally I think she's bang on. DT and other technical GCSEs (we normally did deliver) have really taken a beating. But doesn't feel like that's a priority in the great replacement here. So I've got same concerns....

#Audhd in crisis. My audhd is ace under pressure. So emergency trip to parents after dogs, worked out stuff for out my sister (newly early onset parkinsons) reset everything, buy dinner, sort house, make room. I'm literally "the man i need" to quote the song... in emergencies only....

I went a IMAX last night in Manchester. Word of warning. Yeah the detail is better, but the seats, noise and general vibe was horrific as a autistic. It was a sensory hell I'll not be repeating.
At the time I raised concerns in TES, & to the DfE, on the data being used to justify it was safe for teachers, students and parents to keep schools open. Many children, staff and parents caught long covid because there was literally zero in schools in regard of protections for a long time....

My parents just lost one of our family dogs (second this year). This totally sucks. Bella was our three legged beauty and I'll miss her so much, as she joins Lily our Westie. Give some thoughts for Elsie who is thankfully still with us.
I've got two dogs in the house atm, the step daughters dog, and our dog....we are learning very quickly oodsock is really fussy about his space. He's been very polite, but definitely settled the second dog debate.... Thankfully only for a week, this grump is legendary.
