Also, you can follow a lot more people on here without things feeling cluttered. Posting is generally a bit slower on here, there are fewer rage cycles without the algorithms pushing viral hate-bait around. If things feel slow, find more people to follow, even just out of casual interest.

For the new arrivals: a big difference between Bluesky and Twitter is Bluesky gives you a lot more control over your timeline, and expects you to use it. There is no algorithm. Remember to check out the settings and customize them to your liking, this site becomes much better when you do.

it's a coincidence that I was talking about this earlier but for real. if you don't want this place to go down the shitter, don't quote-skeet/ss stuff that sucks so you can have your say about it. amplification is fuel. block and resume skeetness as usual, don't become But My Cause Is Just reply-guy

Leaving Twitter behind means abandoning the culture and mindset. No more dunking to show off how bad someone's ideas are; snuff those ideas out immediately with your block.

New users, you have to follow WAY more people here for an active timeline than you did on Twitter. If this place feels dead, you’re almost certainly not following enough other users. There’s no centralized algorithm that just puts stuff in front of you - although you can subscribe to feeds.
