There are zero "anti-car activists" (the term being thrown around today) who believe that vital services such as emergency response and sanitation shouldn't be done with vehicles. The issue is personal automobile ownership and the over-deployment of cars at the expense of nearly everything else.

@ my sister’s graduation; car dependency really ruins the mood of so many events. People are overjoyed and wanting to celebrate but parents urge everybody to get back to their cars so they can drive home ASAP. It angers me.

Something I've been thinking about is how safe streets advocates are treated as hysterical and dramatic for pointing out that drivers should stop killing us, yet the people fomenting a moral panic about e-bikes are treated as reasonable and their concerns are taken seriously.
Excited to announce I was endorsed by Freethought Equality PAC! They're leaders in creating a government responsive to the needs of the people, defending our freedoms, and protecting against right-wing religious extremism. I look forward to working with them in Congress to deliver for NJ families.

Finally got around to listening to @thewaroncars.bsky.social’s episode with Dr. Appleyard. As a student of urban planning and design, the work of his father is fresh in my mind. It was wonderful to hear just some of Bruce’s insights into the livable streets movement and the promise of the street.

New Jersey has the second-largest percentage of foreign-born residents in the country. And NJ lawmakers passed 3 bills that will fundamentally change immigration enforcement in our state.
Peaceful protest is not weak. It is powerful. There is power in peace, and Flemington understands this. When enough people are loud enough for long enough, things change. We can win this fight.
