15 WIP Scions in front of a WIP Taurox Prime.
They are painted with blue camo uniforms, tan armor, weapons in desert yellow, and purple berets. The Taurox Prime is mostly painted in desert yellow with some pieces in dark grey.
Some of the things left to do: The flag, beards, berets, red and green parts (mostly the medikit, the power fist, and the screens on their arm pieces); some highlights with the dark grey pieces of the Taurox, and its decals.

15 WIP Scions in front of a Taurox Prime. 10 of which and the vehicle from the "Start Collecting" box, which I intended to use for Kill Team 2016 (back when vehicles still were allowed). 5 new minis that have only been added last year to expand the group into 1 HQ and 2 squads of 5 for regular 40k.
They are painted with blue camo uniforms, tan armor, weapons in desert yellow, and purple berets; with the exception of the berets and faces all still in the basecoating step. The Taurox Prime is mostly painted in desert yellow with some pieces in dark grey.

[Thread] Yesterday I posted some pics of my very recently completed SYW project. 630 28mm figures, mostly from Crusader. Long term viewers may remember that I used some Volleyfire LED strips from Warlord Games to make an example musketry volley signifier. Anyway, things have degraded.

My to this date most popular image/post on bsky, with 100 likes, 6 reposts, and 3 comments: 30 conscripts for my old Imperial Guard army, standing close together in a tight formation in front of two sheets of cardboard.
Like the ordinary soldiers of my army they are wearing light grey urban camo uniforms and grey armor. What sets them apart are light grey stripes from the front to the back of their helmets, and diagonal light grey stripes on their right shoulder pauldron, where the regular soldiers are wearing their regiment's emblem. Their left pauldron shows the imperial aquila, where the majority of my army has unit markings.

Here's one I'm very fond of: Karl Franz on Griffon. This was one of the first "new" kits I ordered a few months after I returned back to the hobby in 2020. Didn't touch it for about a year and a half, out of fear that I'd "ruin" it with my rusty skills. But in the end I'm happy how this mini looks.

The vehicle is mostly black with VGC Sombre Grey highlights, with details like Aquilas, exhausts and the plow in the front in copper (in a deviation to the official colour scheme not the part above the front side skirts, as that one is black). The gatling gun is silver. Graves coat of arms is a mixture of copper and silver, with a red diagonal stripe. The vehicle's deck has a metal floor, bonewhite walls, and a metal railing.

Standing behind her is her retinue, the "Right Hand". One holding her banner, one on the lookout with a pair of binocs, and two operating heavy stubbers.
These have some differences in the color scheme compared to Graves herself, e.g. retinue has yellow facings on their coats, and that holsters, pouches, webbing, and the like, are of a reddish leather color. Her banner is red with a gold border, inside are a white x-shape with gold border, a white Imperialis symbol, silver scrolls with her name and crest, and blue Leman Russ tanks.

This was a fun little crafting and painting project: A Hummingbird-class egg vehicle for @geekylina.bsky.social's War is Shell. #nerdlings

Front view of what a Hummingbird-class vehicle for the game "War is Shell" could look like. It's a crafted vehicle made out of egg carton. I trimmed a box sized for six eggs down so it only fits two. Above the front bumper is the little nose where the latch of the box is held close. The wheels are metal screw caps. All around the vehicle are bits from my 40k Guard bitbox, most notably "headlamps", a radio, two autocannons (one on each side), and a cupola with a pintle mounted machine gun on the vehicle's roof.
The pattern resembles a NATO 3-color camo scheme, only in a brighter green. The weapons are in blue and gunmetal. The rim of the wheels are also green, while the tires are dark grey. The cupola in the rear has domed hatch and its design resembles what one might find on a decorated Easter egg. It's a zigzag pattern with white, blue, and red elements. The top of the hatch has a yellow dot.
The vehicle is posed around several model trees and bushes. A backdrop is visible in the background, which shows an open field and even more trees behind it as well as a blue sky.
