The reason so many of us get annoyed about conversations around e-bikes is that we are seeing cities and towns taking dramatic steps to try and curtail e-bike usage while they shrug at the daily carnage caused by cars. It's extra infuriating because e-bikes ARE REPLACING CARS.

Advocates in CT spent over a decade trying to get automated enforcement to reduce speeding and redlight running with tremendous oversight over the program to only have police depts with NO oversight dropping flock cameras everywhere. WTF.

While I'll stipulate that NHTSA fatality data is essential to improving traffic safety and an amazing resource It's always interesting to dig in One thing I noticed today is that we've had no deaths of a "person on a personal conveyance" since 2021 No scooter deaths, no wheelchair deaths, really?

USDOT claims record low traffic deaths. Save your celebrations. Fatalities are back to the 2019 level and far above 2014. Even with the decrease, fatalities per 100,000 people is still way above any country that we would consider a peer. www.smartgrowthamerica.org/knowledge-hu...

I have a father and mother in law in Iran. I have a sister in law. A niece. She's 14. She likes silly pink headbands and purses and dresses, just like kids her age all over the world. There are 93 million people like her in Iran. People who do all the normal mundane life things as the rest of us.

“This is a clear example of what happens when our industry shows up together,” said Jenn Dice, President and CEO of @peopleforbikes.bsky.social Great news! Can yall make safe networks for bicycling a core part of our Federal transpo program next?

This is what the big freakout is about... This is the scale of the solar installed in East Windsor and Ellington that we apparently need to undo and put up a bunch of regulatory barriers... Asking, please, can a single person in CT take a public stand and attempt to win the narrative battle?

Connecticut: no, you can’t build solar farms or clean energy infrastructure. No, you can’t build battery storage. No, you can’t build homes. No, you can’t sell your farm even if it’s no longer viable. No, your kids can’t attend our schools. www.ctinsider.com/politics/art...

This is data that I've wanted for YEARS. Having "no way" (emphasis mine) to track vehicle registrations makes all of us less safe. What are the numbers for hit and runs? How many vehicles now have illegal tints? Either you do your job or you don't, CT DMV. www.ctinsider.com/connecticut/...

More than 32,000 tickets issued in Connecticut for unregistered vehicles, data s

Connecticut officials can't say for certain how many drivers are on the road with expired vehicle registrations.

New England at this moment is running almost 1/4 on renewables, 1/3 nuclear before factoring behind the meter solar So much so, real time energy prices are negative. This is why we need grid batteries, soak up that excess and shift to the evening (arbitrage) Its happening yall

Banging on this that batteries met up to 44% of demand on the CA grid yesterday, roughly equivalent to 6 hoover dams. Cheap batteries are powering the grid. www.linkedin.com/posts/nicola...

Smart planning🚨: Moving train station from a highway interchange to downtown, doing quality TOD, making a bunch of pedestrian improvements, adding bike infrastructure and rolling out viable bus transit service with 20 minute headways 7 days a week to the airport through the dense part of the town 💪

As Connecticut tries to foster fresh development along railroad lines, a developer is embarking on a 120-unit mixed-income apartment complex just yards from a soon-to-open station.
