He did not say they were manipulated. He said they would destroy him. That is not a defense of Trump. That is a description of what is in the files.
This whole Administration is just one big grift. Everyone is encouraged to use their position to extort money from the corporations the Administration regulates. The result is simple: Trump officials profit. Corporations get favors. Regular people get screwed.

I just can't get over how for decades the line among political scientists was that presidents get blamed for economic conditions even though they don't have much control over them ... ... and Trump just came in and proved that he could significantly affect conditions *and* reap the blame!

In the meantime, challenger Peter Magyar appeared on tv to claim that this is a historic day.
