Short Pitch:

Mitali isn’t so sure he believes in hope anymore. The war that took away his parents and home also took away any hope for the future. When his older brother reveals he found a place for them in Greenfield — a small, rustic village on the outskirts of the country, and what he claims to be a chance at a real home — Mitali still doesn’t believe it will last.

Sam feels like her very existence is a mistake that needs to be hidden and masked until she looks as normal as possible. She doesn’t know who she wants to be or who she even is, behind the lie of a normal human. The only hopes she has is to be someone else.

The two form an unlikely friendship, and, despite both being very closed off, find a way to relate to each other’s struggles, however different they might be. Together they find out that there may be more hope in this little forest village than they initially thought — especially if they have each other.
