There has been update to the definition of what is and isn't a mana ability with the newest version of the Comprehensive Rules: An activated ability is no longer a mana ability if its cost or effect moves a card to or from a library. Selvala 1.0, Chromatic Sphere, and Millikin no longer count. 1/

I like these a lot, but I do wish they had put the name of the card at the top As far as my Moxfield list is concerned, the name of all these cards is Jolkien Rolkien Rolkien Tolkien

The Book Cover variant on these new cards from @magic.wizards.com upcoming set The Hobbit are absolutely stunning. Personally I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy of Gandalf’s Goblins’ Bane and Thorin, Mountain-king! Which of these are your favorite ? #MTGxTheHobbit

Wanna know why I love Pendragon? Cause I just died to a Primordial Pachyderm carrying The Spear of Leonidas while being targeted by Ttianic Growth. That is how this game is meant to be played :D

A small reminder from a Deaf Magic player: MTG Arena STILL does not have a visual cue for if an opponent chooses to shuffle off a Ponder. Wotc Staff has EXPLICITLY told players to just "turn your in-game sound up". This problem was brought to their attention 6 months ago. NOTHING has changed.

A discord message from WOTC_Abar (Alex):
What Jared said. If you are playing against an opponent with ponder,k I would encourage you to turn your in-game sound up for maximum information.

If the player chooses to shuffle, the game will make the shuffle sound effect. If they keep on top, you will not hear the shuffle sound effect.

It's obviously not an ideal solution, but hopefully that's at least a helpful tip for now.

nice! I built a browser extension that lets you play Dandan online using moxfield or archidekt's playtest features, since you can't play Dandan via webcam. The extension syncs two instances of the playtester, so you each play on your own screen but share a library. github.com/natefinch/mo...

Selling more decks in an attempt to pay bills: Eloise clues- it’s a budget brew worth around $150. Selling it for $100 + shipping. Also selling Teysa clues funny enough. Worth around $200. Selling for 170 + shipping. Links in next post. DM me please. Willing to discount for purchase of both

2015 - "I'm playing an unmodified precon" "ok, let me get my weakest deck so we can be on even footing" 2026- "I'm playing an unmodified precon" "oh, uh, I don't think i have any deck strong enough to play with you."

My issue isn’t with UB or not-UB, Horatio. My issue is with established characters and settings being respected and treated well. That goes for both. As a Fallout fan I felt seen. As a Spider-Man fan, I didn’t. I’m hoping we can be seen as Magic fans, too.
