I’m now using 3 social platforms (LinkedIn, Insta & Bluesky) and it’s not only too much, but everything’s crazily fragmented. I find something here but think it should rather be shared with my LinkedIn network…

Worth a read (Carney / Stubb) 👇 When other leaders are going haywire or are lost, why not position yourself as the sane alternative? 😉 Last line: “we invite (others) to join us on this quest.”

As the Berlin mayor falls (can‘t/won‘t run in September), a reminder to get active on issues important for our city, including: ♥️ Social issues (health, education, equality) 🍃 Our habitat (important for people’s health & well-being & environment/climate) 🗳️ Engagement (rallying people to vote)

This #Ebola outbreak was declared underway on 5/15, not yet 2 months ago. Weeks ago it became the 3rd largest on record. With DRC's 1708 cases & Uganda's 20 cases, it is halfway to becoming the 2nd largest on record. (DRC, 2018-2020, 3,470 cases.) Gonna be big.

#Ebola update: DRC reported 84 new cases (59 already dead) on 7/6. That brings their confirmed totals to 1708 cases, 580 of whom have died. On 7/6, 12,190 contacts of cases were on the monitoring list; 75% of them were reached that day. insp.cd/sitrep-n053-...

#Ebola update: DRC reported 63 new confirmed cases as of 7/5, 8 of whom are already dead. In total so far in DRC, there've been 1624 cases & 521 deaths, for a CFR of ~32%. Lower than most Zaire & Sudan outbreaks, but still sizable. About 12,400 contacts have been identified, with 77% followed.

I’m very concerned about the lack of regular & transparent #Ebola updates. I understand we’re flying blind in the response, which is hugely explosive due to lack of trust, misinformation and WHO being at its riskiest phase in decades. Compare this to the daily, hourly Hanta or Covid communication…

When a health minister tries to cut the health budget and the chancellor a few weeks later decides everyone needs to get a doctor’s note even for one sick day…. 🧐🤦‍♀️…literally everyone loses.

#Ebola update: DRC confirmed 33 new cases on 6/28. I think 17 of those cases are already dead. They bring the outbreak total in DRC to 1307 confirmed cases with 377 deaths. In recent days, confirmed case counts — ie the cases that are coming to light — have risen by the dozens. Long road ahead.

With 41.4 degrees, Germany just broke temperature recrords 🔥. I haven’t seen a single Cabinet minister refer to a climate emergency. Maybe they are too busy having a Feierabend bier? 🍻 🤯https://www.deutschlandfunk.de/rekord-fuer-waermste-nacht-in-deutschland-gruene-fuer-mehr-klimaanlagen-100.html

Hitze - Rekord für wärmste Nacht in Deutschland - Grüne für mehr Klimaanlagen
