Missouri voters just blocked a Republican-led effort to raise the bar for passing citizen-led constitutional amendments. Under current law, ballot measures require a simple majority for passage. Amendment 4 would have required ballot initiatives to win a majority in each congressional district.

Whenever one of these freaks goes off on a tangent about their trans conspiracy of the day, the proper response -- from an interviewer or anyone else -- is "well, it seems like you're having some sort of mental breakdown here, so we'll wrap it up"

This after the House Ethics Committee found “substantial reason to believe [he] violated House Rules related to sexual harassment and hostile workplaces.”
Exactly, it is shocking that these people believe Trump is a logical and intelligent person. Cults destroy even smart people's ability to think logically.

Establishment media didn't get the big election repudiation of progressives they were hoping for. (They're especially upset with the losses of those who are committed to getting money...and thus ad revenues and fees for their friends in the consulting club...out of politics.)

David Rothkopf@djrothkopf.bsky.social · 7h agoRather than going after the tactics of progressives this morning, establishment Dems ought to ask why in so many places so many people are rejecting their policies and seeking people-oriented solutions and candidates who are willing and able to fight for them better than the old guard has been.
I think we need to brace ourselves for a new and more extreme outbreak of racism and Islamophobic slurs from Trump and the GOP as they head into a Fall election in which their prospects are deservedly grim. Hate is their stock-in-trade and they'll be slinging it big time.

Corporations spent $60 million trying to defeat Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, who overcame a 10-to-1 spending deficit and won anyway. The man ran on simple ideas: end aid to Israel, Medicare for All, and end big money in politics. The people want solutions to problems. That’s it.
