if you are ignoring a minority saying they desperately need your solidarity because “the government says you don’t have to anymore,” it is unlikely that you’re on the right side of the issue.

If you believe this, and I hope you do, there is nothing stopping you from continuing to protect your vulnerable neighbors by wearing masks in crowded and indoor spaces, especially necessary spaces like healthcare facilities, grocery stores, and public transportation. Absolutely nothing.

Covid lockdowns demonstrated, in a deeply imperfect way, the possibility of large-scale social solidarity for a higher cause. That is a prime reason why so many powerful people want us to run screaming away from them into the comforting arms of selfish individualist competition.

This is not a drill. Call your House representative NOW and demand they vote NO on the NDAA. Dial (202) 224-3121 and give the operator your ZIP code or state to be connected. They may vote on this at any minute now.

The 14th Amendment, ratified July 9, 1868: “All persons born or naturalized in the U.S., and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the U.S. and of the State wherein they reside.” This includes U.S.-born children of immigrants, as reaffirmed in 1898 by SCOTUS. Remember this.

This week, Microsoft GUTTED Bethesda, Zenimax, iD, & more. The C-suites treat the workers who make the games we love as disposable and don’t care they’re destroying the future of the industry! Let them know it has to STOP here: feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/ide...

One way you can show Microsoft your concern is here through the XBOX Player Voice feedback platform: feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/ide...

Yesterday’s layoffs at Bethesda Games Studios were not a cut of “14 layers of management”. We lost dozens of programmers, artists, designers and testers. Many of whom worked at BGS for decades.

If Bethesda fans are worried this will harm the quality of our future games, like TES VI, let Microsoft know!

UN issued a 94-page detailed report documenting that the Israeli Govt committed genocide by deliberately targeting Palestinian children—killing 20,000+ Silence to this atrocity is complicity with this atrocity. Stop listening to any journalist, and vote out every politician, silent on this genocide

“You think your pain and your heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read. It was books that taught me that the things that tormented me most were the very things that connected me with all the people who were alive, who had ever been alive.” ― James Baldwin

Fellow folk w/ Scottish ancestry: “The Anthology of Scottish Folktales, Volumes 1 & 2” (collected & edited by Donald Smith) are fascinating, fun reads! (For adults only, FYI). Several tales are in Scots, which is an enjoyable brain twister for non-native speakers. Do recommend! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🧚‍♀️🦄🧌🌳🌲🪾🌊⛰️📚

Fellow mental healthcare workers: READ THIS STAT. This week happens to be my 16th work anniversary, and so I found Florie St. Aime’s book as incredibly timely, human, as well as equally validating and challenging (in the best way). Took me weeks to read because it deserves savoring. 10/10 ⭐️s! 🙏 📚

For fellow descendants of Celtic & Nordic ancestry, especially those interested in epigenetics or ancestor veneration work: check these two books out! Fascinating. 🧬 🤯 🌊 ⛰️ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 🇮🇪 🇬🇧 🇳🇴 (P.S. special shout out others in maternal haplogroup “Ursula” 👋 😉 Remember though, we’re all cousins in the end. 🌍)
