This is bad news: the amount of water vapor in the atmosphere is one of the key factors controlling extreme rainfall. More water vapor, more extreme precipitation. The increase in atmospheric water vapor is due record-setting warmth, which is due to climate change + the brewing El Nino.

The main distinction between the AI resignations and pronouncements is that while they say there is a >10% chance AI will wipe us out, there is a 100% chance that emissions from all the fossil fuel reserves that exist on these companies balance sheets will wipe us out.
