Milan has so many smaller cars - it felt like going back to the 90s/up to the early 2010s (in a good way!) before SUVs took over cities - I don't think any particular policy from what I can tell (?) just smaller cars for tiny streets. Felt nice to see so many normal cars (or tiny ones) again.

Happy birthday to the heatwave of 1976 which began today 50 years ago, peaking at 35.9°C. If a comparable heatwave happened in the current climate it would be 3-4°C hotter, peaking at 38-39°C. And the actual forecast is for temperatures of 38-39°C in the next few days with a red heatwave warning.

Fantastic overnight camping trip by Ember bus to Glencoe to enjoy the longest day. Long trek to Stob Ghabar via Creise and back via Meall a' Bhuiridh. Great to see the bus so well used by hikers, tourists and local residents

First change from Euston to St Pancras gave me the chance to check out some of the new protected lanes, and a well timed cement mixer perfectly demonstrates why they’re needed. I used to cycle this route back when there was nothing and WHAT a difference: good job, London.
