Reformed Labour tribalist. Relapsed vinyl junkie. Anti-Trump and anti-woke. Pro-whippet and pro-GBR Republic. Know your enemy.

As politics newsletters continue to come in highlighting dinghies in the Channel - yes, a problem, but nothing like as dangerous as many others - I continue to feel like I'm losing my mind. The media class have just lost all contact with reality.

Weird day of news … Restricting the early release scheme (to exclude rapists) generating more rage than would have happened if it had been left alone (because manslaughter not excluded) And most coverage completely ignoring the dangers, not least for public safety, of explosive crowding in jails

The state of this. A lovely day out for Badenoch and Philp, playing dress up and making pronouncements about early release schemes - having left the country with one hundred available men's prison places, after fourteen years in charge. You read that right. One hundred places.

Good piece. A thread on some comments I made yesterday on Times Radio. Two things can be true at the same time: 1. It’s very bad to have 60,000 people storm a border, and 70+ deaths. 2. European leaders' responses were opportunistic and disproportionate, and made incidents like this more likely.

Vance, Farage and Weidel posted fear-mongering messages about a Spanish migrant crisis that weren't true. They haven't retracted them. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

RefUK, RW media, & Eurofash are plainly trying to whip up a panic about this. Any serious report must begin by explaining that Ceuta is in Africa - not mainland Spain - and 48k+ of the 50k crossers were already returned. It is frightening how many still don't know this. Please share on all socials.

Spain's prime minister has blamed trafficking gangs after about 60,000 migrants crossed into the Spanish North African enclave of Ceuta from Morocco. At least 57 people died during the surge, according to local media."Daily Mail and Daily Express from this weekend, with front page headlines "Ministers MUST stop the Spanish border invaders reaching UK" and "SPANISH BORDER CRISIS IS 'WAKE-UP CALL' FOR UK", respectively.

"Sinking in Polls, Farage Plans Week of Attacks on Immigration" Reform plan to make next week Immigration Week It could finally be the moment for broadcast media to notice the > 75% drop in net migration since 2024. There is also a 42% drop in boat crossings

Bloomberg: Sinking in Polls, Farage Plans Week of Attacks on Immigration

Reform UK party is planning to hold multiple press conferences on immigration to turn public attention to the issue, despite the number of migrants arriving in the country nearly halving from the same time last year.
A total of 14,200 immigrants have arrived in the UK via small boats so far this year, down 44% compared to the same period last year, with the Home Office and National Crime Agency increasing seizures of small-boat engines and improving enforcement cooperation with the French.
The issue of immigration threatens to be riskier territory for new Prime Minister Andy Burnham, who is already facing disquiet from backbench colleagues over reforms proposed during his predecessor's tenure.

Last month, Diane Abbott stood up at a conference in London and described Ukraine’s defence against Russian invasion as, and I quote, “the NATO campaign against Russia”. Labour are genuinely mad to let her back in.

It's grotesquely fascinating to see a bunch of people whose brains have been melted over the last few years going with *Israel instructed Morocco to pressurise Spain via sending a wave of immigrants*. They managed to find a way to push Great Replacement Theory from the far-left.

Nigel Farage needs to urgently explain why he welcomed Glenn Gibbins back into Reform just last month. Throwing this man out of his Party should have been the easiest call possible for Reform – but yet again Farage has proven he’s unfit for office. www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-e...

Q: Zelenskyy says Russia is giving Iran satellite imagery of US bases in the Gulf to help them target. What can you do about that? TRUMP: We'll find out if that's true. I'll ask Putin about it. Hasn't had much impact.

I am *absolutely sick* of hearing about young people as 'benefit scroungers'. Nearly 60% of welfare spending goes on pensioners! The people writing this stuff know that too.
