Kanaka educator & musician who can do “science” if forced to, they/them queer/māhū #LandBack NSFW-ish Read my thesis on the moʻolelo of Keaomelemele, western science, wai, & me 🙃: https://storymaps.arcgis.com/collections/cb443b1d727046ef8a262b03d24462ef

Didn’t realize people still back up John/Hank green’s educational stuff (idk which is which honestly), esp when khan academy, Bozeman science, amoeba sisters, etc is right there… I’m a sci teacher/prof & rarely use his stuff bc he has done/said far too many problematic stuff for me to look past

I’m going to a la hoihoi ea event and it’s raining, but I don’t want to wear my school rain jacket bc then everyone will think I’m fluent in Hawaiian and speak to me and I’ll just stare at them like a deer in the headlights 😭

I went too gung ho this summer with crafting and have made so much intense, repetitive movements using my forearm muscles that they are now injured and I can no longer work on my projects or play pickleball for awhile 😭

The native Hawaiian center at one of the college campuses I worked at offered a free Lauhala workshop series for staff/faculty. Barely anyone signed up besides 5 Hawaiians, go figure lol, and through grants, they got us our own Lauhala strippers and a fucking huge lauhala mat. I’m so stoked!
