Twitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.

I and many of my friends stream on Twitch. I say, *absolutely the fuck not*. Friends who stream on Twitch, there is a comment thread here where you can make your voices heard: twitch.uservoice.com/forums/92338... This is the *least* they can do.

headlines about wildfires makes me just want to cry. I don't have anything to add to that, it's just hard to cope seeing the planet I live on burn because rich people think they can buy their way out from dying.

I am just so angry that we have the technology to course correct climate change. solar, wind and nuclear energy is ready to go. it's BEEN ready to go for decades. and instead world leaders are saying we have no choice but to burn ourselves to death to invest in oil and AI data centers.
