Overall X-MEN ‘97 season 2 wasn’t as consistently gobsmackingly great as season 1, kinda peaked with episode 4 and then hit a low with episode 6, but it was still damn good and the finale got me misty eyed. Cannot wait for season 3. Pretty much the best X-Men media ever.

When I was at PlayStation, it was a hard rule that no new setting would ever be chosen for you, because that's awful CX. Everything was opt-in, never opt-out. That should be a law. Automatic opt-ins only happen when they know nobody wants it, and that's the only way to get engagement in a feature.

This is not totally true. First, it is true that *existing* qualified immunity doctrine makes it nearly impossible to sue. But that’s a judicially invented doctrine, & a new SCOTUS could immediately strike that down. Because immunity isnt grounded in statute, there would be no “retroactive” immunity

We should not be giving new weapons like this to a law enforcement agency that enjoys near-total impunity.

what were the big excesses that greenwald and ryan grim are so exercised about? college kids yelling at racist youtubers on campus? HR trainings? a trans person saying you're transphobic or something? it's all very thin stuff. it's a sad thing to cry about
it's not particularly complicated. any problems with "woke 1" were dicks acting like assholes. nothing much else happened. just assholes being dicks. and the backlash? what we learned may just shake you to your core
There are not enough trans people in the entire world for these folks to be this pressed about them, turning themselves into shrieking apes over hypotheticals they are whipping themselves into a frenzy over. We gotta start asking them why they are so obsessed with it, and not giving an inch.
