Rewatched Mystic River last night. Easy to see why no one talks about it anymore. It had Oscar buzz at the time, but it's lustre has long since waned. A lot less than the sum of it's parts.

Rewatched 'Toy Story' last night, partly because I recently bought a TS t-shirt, and thought I'd better have a refresh. A lot more of it was set in Sid's house than I had recalled, still good though. First sequel probably a better film, that's up next.
You should always say "yes" to a quick 30 minute paddle. That hour and a half could be the best 4 hours of your life.

Enjoyed 'The Odyssey', fantastic spectacle, well worth a trip to the cinema, if you can bear 3 hours. I found some of the casting decisions a little distracting. Might be more rewarding, on a human level, on second viewing. Might make it to the imax for that.
