I got the DoorDash letter attacking DC home rule over a 20¢ fee. The letter, which dangerously misrepresents HR 9720 as only applying to tax and fee increases, was written by @lgbtqvictoryfund.bsky.social director John Horton. #freedc

We are not going to get ICE off our streets or protect Home Rule by fearing this President. Threatening DC because you do not like how our residents vote is an attack on democracy itself. The people of DC elect the Mayor of DC. And they want someone who will stand up to Donald Trump.

I love serviceberry and mulberry season in DC. It’s delicious and we are lucky @ddotdc.bsky.social and neighbors plant fruit trees :). Also, 10 months of military occupation is exhausting, and everything about the Federal District is a tacky dystopian mess.

He doesn’t even go here! The rapist in chief has no say in the DC election, but all of us registered in DC do. If you haven’t gotten signed up for election protection yet it’s not too late- trainings on June 8 &9.
