My main complaint with the new Hellraiser is it's driven by Riley not understanding what is happening for 95% of the movie instead of making a willful choice to act. It's what made the original so impactful. Frank opened the box. Julia sacrificed people to bring him back. Kristie revealed Frank.

A spooky Halloween surprise by Ratz! This retro internet horror cover is for "Like Scattered Leaves" my community content scenario book for @theonyxpath.bsky.social's Curseborne out whenever I finish writing the ttrpg scenarios.

Game went well! The investigators survived!

It's Kaijucon day! After wandering around Nagoya Castle before hotel check in, I was able to finish up a couple of things for game prep. Definitely looking forward to Call of Cthulhu today!

This took me longer to decide on how to set up than it was to actually do it. O.o Only 2 more days until Kaijucon! youtu.be/Rj-M2fw5E20

All you Libby users borrowing digital books and audiobooks through your library cards, you can set your preferences to human authors and artists ONLY. Click the middle button at the bottom, then "Content Controls" under Settings. You'll find "AI Contributions" there. Click in to it to make changes.

I have finished the last character sheet passport for Kaijucon! A little side by side of the mockup with the final passport. o.o #ttrpg I'm looking forward to running "Terminal 4" next week for Call of Cthulhu!

Man. I saw a large huntsman spider in my shower room the other day and debated if I wanted to leave him be or not. He watched me watching him. Then I sent my husband a text asking if he wanted spider duty (I was about to shower). He decided to swat the spider since my son is terrified of spiders.

Curseborne has been opened up for Community Content, so now I can do my scenario write ups for "Like Scattered Leaves" and the other 3 scenarios I've been brainstorming. I will have to readjust these for Call of Cthulhu eventually. Terminal 4 won't take much to be Curseborne too.

Doing my part for the Horror Writers Association Bram Stoker Awards again this year. It's a lot of emails, contact forms, and google-fu. But at least I can do some afk fishing on BDO in the meantime.

To celebrate October, do consider picking up Accursed Tales, a Curseborne fiction anthology. Curseborne is a cool urban horror/fantasy setting and the anthology has a story of mine there (alongside many other great ones.) And if you get the book, I'd love to hear your opinions!

First mockup of the character sheets I will be providing at @singularitysons.bsky.social and @tokyorpgsociety.bsky.social 's Kaijucon in Nagoya this year for my Call of Cthulhu scenario, Terminal 4. I still have 2 seats left if you want to play!

Day started off weird but no serious (obvious anyway) injuries. It eas quiet after that and I got something turned in. Now to work on this backlog. X.x Typhoon #2 should be hitting later on this week so more rain.

Completing the set: Sutra of Pale Leaves author Damon Lang brings a special playtest of a brand-new scenario to KaijuCon 2. A story nobody has played yet, run by the person who wrote it. No Sutra knowledge needed, newcomers welcome. Oct 24, Nagoya🐙(Tomomi)

Doing some prep work for my site and my game at @singularitysons.bsky.social's Kaijucon next month in Nagoya. And also inspiring some conspiracies apparently. Anything on my desk is fair game for notes. Not like.. any of the notebooks I have in my office. Lol. Joys of being a writer.

Hey it's my birthday so the corebooks PDFs for FiveEvil, a|state, Maskwitches and BEOWULF are all $4.99 for the day. Enjoy! Corebooks? Scorebooks more like amirite www.drivethrurpg.com/en/publisher...

Out today from @theonyxpath.bsky.social on @drivethrurpg.com, my #ttrpg adventure for Curseborne, "The Wolf You Feed". Normally for freelance assignments, I'm given an outline but this is one of the Jumpstarts that I pitched my own outline and concept for. :) @pugsteady.com was my developer.

Let's get the before shot of this poor @vgen mug. It was shipped to me here in Japan without any padding in the box. I have decided to try to kintsugi it. I grabbed a food safe kit from Amazon. Stay tuned.

It's good to be home. This little crocheted onigiri was made by the tufted streamer, Hooked By Shark! I got it at an anime convention in Virginia. Check her out! www.etsy.com/shop/HookedB...

A little airport onigiri. I grabbed this at Superstar Anime from the lovely and talented Hooked By Shark. I really love supporting indie artists and authors when I can. It's likely why my suitcase is now 3 lbs overweight... it's always books. Lol. #supportindiecreators

In case you missed it yesterday, I wrote a short thing about how writing is art but publishing is a business, not earning out your contract, how hard marketing sucks, and selling your soul to the Devil. gabinoiglesias.substack.com/p/lets-talk-...
