Operating “on the balance of four forces… identified as charm, persuasion, uncertainty, and bloody-mindedness.” -TP She/her also autistic

Seeing a guy weakly and pathetically crying in his car, going home, getting my own car and pulling up next to him to show him how a real man cries in his car. Gotta use your whole body. Gotta throw your shoulders and let those sobs ring out, brother. You'll get it, just need practice

Are you working remotely in a heat wave and looking for an unarguable reason to log off for a bit? I offer you, “I have to hose down the alpacas.” It’s serious enough to require immediate action and weird enough so they have to think for a moment, giving you space to thank them and disappear.

A reddish brown alpaca stands in a stream of water while a white-ish alpaca waits his turn.

I just spent 20 minutes reading community offers of assistance to help with the fire in Colorado. It made me hope again. It made me like humans again. 2/10 do not recommend.

Me, explaining to my husband that his emptying of the vacuum canister after I have been vacuuming for an hour is actually an act of violence. That is my satisfying payoff. Deprive me at your peril.

I’m so mad. I realized today I do not, in fact, align with the Dark Side. I am purely Yoda-coded. I just want to live in a swamp and hit people with sticks if they find me.

I HAVE Googled. Even went to the library. Now I’m coming to ask smart people I have no reason to believe have the answer. How do I make good buttercream frosting? I want it mind-bendingly sweet but I don’t want it tasting like powdered sugar. Help me. Then go back to burning the patriarchy.

Since 1999, I have not had a houseplant without eventually succumbing to fungus gnats. I’ve tried unbelievable and sustained treatments. Nothing. I would like to share a “life hack”, as the kids say:

A yam sits in a vase. Beautiful vines with heart-shaped leaves sprout from the top. Roots can be seen in the water at the base.

It’s my daughter’s very last day of mandated school and I am having many Big Feels so you may present much Bad News but my fairy dragon of a being did a thing that was very hard and today I am proud.

Things I have grotesquely underestimated today: - the odor of the dog’s blanket - the dirt on the light fixtures - the damage a zucchini plant can inflict Hold my calls until further notice.

This is what happens when your government thinks it's more important to arrest activists they personally don't like then it is to make sure starving people are fed. And when that happens it is your duty as a citizen to tear down the systems that allow this and build something better in it's place.

The Ten Commandments are mandated by law in every classroom but how very fucking dare you feed homeless people reason.com/2026/05/20/b...

I gave my husband many directions for my week in NY. Unfortunately, I overlooked, “Please, for the love of all that is holy, pick the zucchini.” This is an error I shall not make again.

Four very large zucchini squash sit on a grey counter dwarfing a Pyrex one cup measuring cup.

I am in NY, staying with my BFFs very cool child. A comment was made about not using the word “goon” any more. When I inquired, child was reluctant to explain so I looked it up. Then child asked if I was going to erase my browser history. I said no. They nodded and said, “Die like a man. Respect.

Just dropping by to share two thoughts. 1 - I wish strength were determined less by the amount of damage one could inflict and more by the amount of safety one could create. 2 - “wank-stain” really needs to feature more heavily in my vocabulary.
