Here is my muppet rolling around on his ripple rug to balance it out on my complaining on here
I hate the multi-day prodrome, migraine, postdrome cycle for both the pain and the mood swings. Combined with the autistic burnout I feel completely out of control. Hopefully tomorrow will be better but I'm not optimistic because my sleep schedule is ruined by the migraine day sleeping.
I love this theory and also if this intrigues you then you should read Plain Bad Heroines
Underappreciated aspect of The L Word theme song is prominently featuring angel’s trumpets overhanging the iconic pool. Implying that these lesbians are having full psychotic breaks as a result of accidental prolonged exposure. Which actually explains a lot about The L Word
You should read this novelette.
And hey, if you wanted to read my novelette When He Calls Your Name & consider throwing a vote at it, that'd be swell! I'm kind of the Susan Lucci of the Hugos at this point--I've lost 11 Hugos so far! I EXCEL AT IT. Wouldn't it be cool to break the streak? www.uncannymagazine.com/article/when...
Migraine day. This time with brand new aura. Never had that before! The flashing zigzags are truly wild. I've got an appointment with the doctor in about a month to discuss finally trying some sort of migraine treatment because they're getting more frequent and worse 😮💨. If anyone has advice lmk
It's Textile Tuesday, and you know what that means: a piece by artist Faig Ahmed called "The Dragons of Karabakh" that's woven to look like an antique Central Asian carpet is melting off the wall into a puddle. More about the artist here: faigahmed.com
Today is the only day you can experience Ray Bradbury’s “There Will Come Soft Rains” on the day it is set. Audio: archive.org/details/brad... PDF: thephilosopher.net/bredberi/wp-...
My monthly reading for July. Does not reflect the multiple books I started and did not finish yet.
I have finally finished my Hugo ballot! I'm still working on finishing the series, but I read enough of each to solidify my ranking. Now I can finally start working my way through the backlog of books I've acquired in the meantime...
INTO THE DROWNING DEEP by Mira Grant is only $2 in US eBook format today! That's less than half the cost of a cup of decent coffee for hours and hours of meticulous marine biology research leading you to the horrors of the deep!
Every day lately feels like a million years, but today feels especially long because I had to start work an hour earlier than usual. I'm so ready for winter hibernation season.
When you’re cosplaying as Utena and you see a flight of stairs…
She loved her surgery cone for the first couple days (it made her feel powerful and intimidating) so we got her a courted ruff to look sinister in.
Proud of myself for actually going to skate school for the first time since Steve hurt his ankle. He's finally off crutches so now I can take risks lol.

Every day I struggle against the demon in my brain telling me to buy a printer... I don't really need it! But I could print random things sometimes...
Just got out of the Hadestown Pro-shot! It didn't turn out this time.

Y'all were right. The Hadestown pro shot is amazing. I ugly cried in the movie theater and was glad I had a mask on to hide my face after. What a devastating, beautiful show.

The world needs more bookish gargoyles and grotesques
I played another few prompts of Thousand Year Old Vampire last night and I am sad to report that she jumped another 100 years and missed the 19th century as well. Now she's in the 1980s 😭. I have no idea how many prompts in the game skip 100 years but I'm rolling all of them...
