Reverend, Intersex traveler, wanderer, and independent journalist. I lived in the margins. I bled through the cracks. I write from a place between memory and disappearance. If you’re reading this, maybe you’ve been here too. (They/Them)

The media is tripping all over itself to blame every problem under the sun on trans people, Hasan Piker, immigrants, and Joe Biden. Meanwhile several black people have been found hanging from trees and there's almost total silence from the oligarch-owned press. WTF www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...

Recent, sudden deaths of Black people in Mississippi provoke fear and doubt

The deaths of Tasia Fortune, Demartravion “Trey” Reed and Nolan Wells have reminded some of the racial violence that casts a shadow over Mississippi’s history.

LGB Alliance US Division is apparently Locking In. Do anti-gender fascists have any new ideas, or do they just recycle everything endlessly and create their own warped simulacrum of reality? Because really, it seems like the latter.

LCR President: After significant disgussions within our membership, our Board of Directors voted to refine Log Cabin Republicans' national advocacy focus to concentrate specifically on issues of sexual orientation and conservative values—in other words, we are an LGB advocacy organization, as our founders envisioned and as our moral center calls us to be.

“The fact that people are multidimensional in their sex-related biological traits means that the binary view of sex is fundamentally misleading. Biological sex has variations and nuances, just as gender does.” People who think “biological” sex is binary are literally deluded.

New from Ari Berkowitz Prof of Biological Sciences at the University of Oklahoma. The UK Supreme Court got it badly wrong. Biological sex is NOT binary but multidimensional… theconversation.com/biological-s...

This is something GC activists are doing a lot, demeaning critics of their movement, while, essentially admitting that those "trolls" were right about the fascism of their movement, so much so that they have lost the energy to be a part of their movement because of it.

did you ever notice that the "Christly" people railing against the existence of trans people and intersex visibility always say the decline of the west is due to the acceptance of these people? They never once consider that actually, just maybe, God's pissed because of their hatred and bigotry?

It takes an especially dark mind to think of a minority group that experiences elevated levels of sexual violence, framing them as a perpetual "threat" for the crime of existence, but it also shows that even as victims of crimes, trans people are perpetually labeled as unworthy of consideration.

bsky.app/profile/eliz... people like Rob Ford who support and enable this (he used his professional platform to advocate data changes outing trans people on the NHS) are complicit. I can’t really describe how angry I am about this.

An organization that stood up to the Soviet Union, to Guantánamo, to death squads, couldn't withstand one billionaire's private legal war chest and a legal system with no anti-SLAPP protection. The UK is a failing police state ran for the benefit of the wealthy at the expense of scapegoats.

1. Amnesty International has withstood threats from death squads and dictators. But it could not stand up to JK Rowling and the anti-trans movement she finances. It has apologized for calling those groups "anti-rights" after legal threats. Subscribe to support our journalism.

Supporting trans rights does not mean opposing women's rights. Supporting women's rights does not mean opposing trans rights. Please think about whose interests it serves to turn those who should be allies against misogyny and transphobia into each others' enemies instead. #LGBWithTheT #always

Good-faith concern on this issue would be going, "hmm, professional sports leagues should probably have some standards in place to ensure trans competitors aren't getting an unfair advantage," googling for 5 minutes, realizing every sports league already has those standards and dropping it.

Rodger Sherman@rodger.bsky.social · 4w ago

i don't believe anyone has "good-faith" concerns about trans women in sports in 2026. there's been too much time to hear the actual evidence, the actual people affected, and the role the debate plays in attempts to purge trans people from American life. anybody picking that side has made a choice

Republicans want to demand all women wear dresses and makeup. The way they're doing this? Pretending it's about a tiny handful of teachers, in all of North Carolina. Why would you pass a compulsory dress code for citizens that applies to 12 people unless you eventually wanted it for 50% of them?

NC Republican Lawmaker Proposes Banning Trans Teachers Who Don’t Dress According to their ‘Biological Sex’

North Carolina state legislator Erin Paré has said she’ll propose what is effectively a ban on trans teachers and promised to make it an ‘election issue.’

“reliable welfare facilities [are] a basic requirement in any civilised society” “…some staff “lack adequate facilities or the time to use them, is unacceptable. This is a matter of human dignity, health, safety and respect to our people.” If only newspapers would say that about trans people.

Dawn Butler MP@dawnbutlerbrent.bsky.social · 4w ago

No one should be expected to work for hours without access to a toilet. Suppose they have a heavy period? It's unacceptable that train drivers are still being let down on this. Solidarity with @aslefunion.bsky.social. Every worker deserves dignity at work. www.theguardian.com/business/202...

In New Zealand, the medical board responsible for managing doctors had all of its members removed for "ideology" and now, two political appointees have been made to the board by a Christofascist minister on purely ideological lines. Both have ties to "The Free Speech Union." One is a proud TERF.

Reverend M. Kintsugi@kintsugighost.bsky.social · 4w ago

Amazing that you can get more insightful analysis on bluesky the app for 40 year old shitposters than you can in the actual media. Like I said yesterday, it's about the questions that don't get asked about this stinky scenario. They're not asked here! thespinoff.co.nz/the-bulletin...

Why is the Free Speech Union suddenly so involved in the Medical Council?

Two new appointments to the Medical Council raise an obvious question and competing issues around free speech.

I REALLY want the Green Party of NZ to come out with a strong statement outlining how they will reverse these dangerous 'ideological' appointments and make these institutions free of political interference to protect us from these RW christian extremists. Please do it 🙏 #nzpol

Fix this headline. Minister appoints FSU backed Doctor with history of anti-Māori views and transphobia to Medical Council to replace those he saw as having an "ideological agenda". Not even hiding it here are they? www.stuff.co.nz/politics/361...

I'm just thinking about how the current US government is full of ideologically-driven demagogues who are dismantling systems that reflect basic reality because they conflict with their delusions about a white christian jingoist-driven empire. Everything they're doing is sewn with it, even tech.

A government willing to lie about trans people to justify persecution is the same government that'll lie about AI capabilities or economic data when it's convenient, and institutions built on that pattern tend to eventually produce their own failures somewhere unrelated to where the cruelty started.

Trans/intersex affirming researchers can bring facts, charts, expertise, experience, to the public. The media puts this on equal with a deeply unwell children's author and pretends "A doctor squinted, kinda saw a vagina in 1959, so now you're destined to be a broodmare" is a good way to run society.

They plan to remove an exhibit about the changing shape of girlhood because it's considered indoctrination. Everything the anti-trans political movement can't understand is automatically "propaganda" or "ideology." They can't process information. Anything different is a threat. It's embarrassing.

Trans women are not men identifying as women. They are women. That fact won't ever change no matter how many times anti-trans actors compel and coerce others to think otherwise.

My one issue with comparing everything to section 28 is this. This is much worse than section 28. I lived through section 28 but what is happening now is a hyper focused attack by over 50 + anti rights organisations who don't just want to ban the queer teachings they want to ban queer people

Trans women are women. How do I know this? Because the UK press is as misogynistic and dismissive as possible to them. Trans men are men. How do I know that? Because the UK press ignores systemic problems about how men are treated in society and treat any shown vulnerability by them as a failing.
