btw if you use stripe, they've automatically put you on their "ai-powered anti-fraud" called radar standard and you will need to manually switch to "radar lite" or they will eventually start CHARGING YOU FOR THIS "service."

A TOS-era Star Trek game that sadly never was in the end: The Secret of Vulcan Fury. Overrunning costs and difficulties with the filming the clay models used for motion capture, plus Interplay's financial instability ultimately led to its cancellation.

Crunchyroll had exclusive rights to some physical Macross releases. They have the only subbed blu ray of Macross Plus OVA and Macross Zero OVA. Both were done as horrible giant boxsets only so you had to spend a couple hundred. But going forward it's a couple hundred PLUS a monthly subscription.

1/3 of the game industry has lost their job in the last two years. Ubisoft closed two more studios today. Everyone is out of work. To that end I'm starting a new bundle to benefit a layoffs hardship fund. Game devs: please consider submitting your PAID games to the bundle, which will launch in July.

If you've missed the news. We're devastated too. If you're seeking alternatives that do not interface with AI at all, @lightvn-online.bsky.social is worth checking out. Like RenPy, Light.VN is free, extensible, and its creator has been responsive and a strong supporter of our community.
I use language models to develop Ren'Py, and have since Github copilot came out in beta in 2021. Before that I've used other tools (code completion, etc.) I don't vibe code Ren'Py, though - that's not something you do if you want a project you can maintain. 1/2

Look there are so many things I like about Bluesky, I do really like it here. But I’m not kidding when I say that maybe 30% of the reason I’m on here is for Wario64’s deals

Hey friends! My son is working on his year end project about the history and current state of indie games. It would be super helpful if you could take 10 minutes to answer this survey about your time with and opinions on them. forms.gle/2NsPUfPntRgP...

My son Jeff is sick and going to the avian vet :( I'm heartbroken and stressed about the cost, it's $350 just to walk in the door. I'm open to ANY offers on the suits below, I can ship to FWA hotels. I'm in the negative for the year and can't take commissions until next month. I could use help.
I still have a bunch of brand new fursuits looking for homes, all partials! I no longer sell at cons and haven't had a moment to list these for sale, so I'm posting again. I'm open to offers above $4k, can provide more photos and ship internationally! :)
Phantasy Star II celebrates its 37th anniversary today, and we have two great interviews covering its development. This one comes from The World of Phantasy Star; my favorite detail is how the fiendishly complex dungeons were the result of a tryharding new employee. shmuplations.com/phantasystar...

How Doujin Illustrators Influenced The Aesthetics of Japan's Underground Music Culture
Many illustrators who’ve contributed to underground and doujin music scene history eventually find themselves working on monumental projects, like Vtuber designs or video game concept art - but it’s cool to see that there’s a place for everyone to play a role in this part of the subculture, irrespective of where the future takes them.

The SDF-3, as seen in the sadly cancelled Robotech: Crystal Dreams for N64. This would have been right up my alley; an ambitious Wing Commander-esque (with a little Privateer) Robotech space combat game. First announced in 1995, it would go through three years of development before cancellation.
