Thinking about the Riot MMO and the question comes to mind, how do you crack the "getting Zoomers/Alphas to play MMOs" code, and the answer is "you don't, they already have their own generational equivalents"... but I don't think the Riot MMO is even TRYING for that, so it's doubly bound to fail.
I think about the ending of Wind Waker at least once a year, and every year it hits harder than the last. There's irony here to it being in the game everyone hated for prioritizing style over fidelity. Then we got Twilight Princess, a fine game whose ending I have never thought about more than once.

Finding it funny how many Steam AI disclosures are like "AI was used for icons and menu assets", and like... if you think such "lesser" parts of making a game are so far beneath you that you don't want to put in actual work for them, that probably says a lot about the rest of your game too.

If this is just a glossy port to satisfy stunted weirdos who believe you can't play a game without paying money- fine. But otherwise I cannot think of any games less appropriate for remaking than Quintet games. Their memorability is so derived from their SNES weirdness, they cannot exist apart.

Genuinely starting to think Zoomers are having it rough because they have the worst name. Millennial sounds like a psyonic being from the astral plain. Gen Alpha sounds like a new breed of cyborgs. Zoomer sounds like a cartoon rabbit from one of the lesser Nick Jr toddler shows.

@kayin.moe This is slightly adjacent but if I want to give the young'uns the benefit of the doubt, Retroarch is a miserable user experience. If I as an 11 year old wanted to play ActRaiser and got asked "what SNES emulation core do you want to use"? I would also probably just throw my hands up.
One of the FF7 raids better be one where you fight trash mobs while walking down a ruined highway for 45 minutes or else it's disrespecting the source material.
