No Outlook, I do not want or need you to summarise my daily emails. I am, almost, a functioning adult and can read and then forget to reply all by myself.
What the actual...? How is this legal?!

Now James Orr has stepped down as Reform UK's Head of Policy after C4's report, questions remain for Cambridge – where he is Associate Professor. Byline Times revealed serious concerns about his activities there months ago. We all know there won't now be 200+ articles on him and his life don't we?
Finally got around to seeing The Odyssey. The Laestrygonians scene was a total homage to Boorman's Excalibur, right?
This is the coverage of Arday **just in the Telegraph** in the UK. This is only the first four pages of results, just in one outlet.
'Why is my anxiety so bad?' I wonder, as I put down a horror novel to sip my 7th coffee of the day and watch the news

Has Westminster just given up on education and learning? All of these courses seem pretty essential to a functioning society. England is in real trouble.
“In a letter to the Office for Students, which distributes the funding, Bridget Phillipson, the education secretary, said funding should no longer be given to support nursing, computing, history, creative arts, performing arts, archaeology, and geography courses.” removepaywalls.com/https://www....

Not only is it a terrible way to look at education, it’s also meaningless. It doesn’t include which university the person went to - I am willing to bet most Oxbridge graduates and the privately educated get higher wages, no matter which subject they take, through uni and school networks.
This is one of the dumbest and saddest things I've ever seen. We should not think of universities in this way, and if we do that'll destroy everything that is both useful and good about them. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Kids are on their phones too much. I don't know why they don't use the many youth clubs, public swimming pools, community clubs or sports facilities successive governments and skint local authorities have underfunded, closed or sold to property developers.

My new #UrbanPrehistory blog post reporting on the horrible fate of the Bogleys Stone of Fife - Barn Storm. This contains a trigger warning for anyone who thinks our heritage - and megaliths - matter. With thanks to Sam McKeand theurbanprehistorian.wordpress.com/2026/05/19/b...

Outside of dissertations, which were marked a little earlier, I have/had 133 assignments to mark over the coming weeks (some more detailed and requiring more feedback than others). I have completely lost all sense of perspective and wondering how normal that amount is compared to my peers?
