Hi! 👋 I'm doing 3D things (mostly hardsurface, props, subd, etc). Thanks for stopping by! Portfolio: https://www.artstation.com/ib_art Gumroad: https://ib3dart.gumroad.com/ ❌NoAI

Here I am to once again encourage artists to search for positions outside the usual games, TV/Film, and advertising spaces. The job market is still horrendous at the moment, but you're doing yourself a grave disservice if you're not seeking out the more niche areas of CG/Animation. (1/3)

Back when I decided to make a fully playable piano as an interactive prop for my Unreal Engine 5 interior/apartment visualization. Everything from the piano model to the blueprints and UI elements were created from scratch. It was tedious, but satisfying 😌 (I had to play "Dearly Beloved" of course.)

Hello! Here's the latest from my Star Wars nonsense - I just finished up the Mon Calamari Frigate I started working on back in 2020, finally, and decided to make a quick video of it with some other ships that I'd made! 4K in the 🧵!

I have settled for Figma now, I think. Feels a bit odd making mid 90s style 256x256 textures in a modern web design suite, but workflow totally works. Barrier of entry + QOL is just a lot better than in many more dedicated tools, I think. What are others using? #indiedev #gamedev #blender

Made my first plane in Blender and put it in the game! Just about starting to get a grip on it, still very much placeholder, but the pipeline works. Been using Aserpite for texturing so far, might switch to more grown-up software though – not happy with the limitations. #Godot #indiedev #gamedev

Working on the shade now and it's really difficult. Not sure if there was a better way but I ended up projecting parts of the reference images and then fixing the mask by hand. Lots of manual work, I will redo the current iteration since I didn't match the ref properly 🥲

Update on the challenge: got a ref board, did a blockout and working on the highpoly. Very challenging for me, first time trying to actually sculpt things in ZBrush properly. Everything is going very slow and I'm constantly fighting the software lol 🥲 but progress is happening 😅
