Just sent off a 15,000-word editorial letter to a client with a novel that's going to absolutely rule. Cannot stress how much I enjoy doing developmental edits for authors, how fortunate I feel to be trusted in this way and hurl myself into their projects.

The Original Scalawag@stuntbirdarmy.bsky.social · 4w agoI don’t have any answers here, personally I think the only healthy version of masculinity I’ve actually encountered is Dudes At The Skatepark Supporting Each Other, so my recommendation is go hang out at skateparks
not for nothing, but a good thing about skateboarding contests is everyone pretty much accepts that they're rigged rather than believing in a fantasy of fairness despite a constant deluge of evidence otherwise!
Still curious for any input from presses / authors re: how the small POD run does or doesn't reset the "out of print" title clocks.
