I've always enjoyed books by Adam, especially Think Again, an absolute classic and worth reading multiple times.

Tech engineering normalized transparency (status pages, postmortems, bug disclosures) partly to encourage other industries to do the same. Decades later it’s backfired: people hear our issues but not their own industry’s, so they assume engineering is worse rather than more transparent.
Agents can write code all day, but running and iterating on it? Different story🫠 Aspire 13.2 adds structure and a real feedback loop for agents with code, not Markdown. @maddy.fm is here to share how Aspire gives your agent some bumpers 🎳 🔗 devblogs.microsoft.com/aspire/agent...

@bradygaster.bsky.social trying out Squad. Use case, migrate a relatively simple razorpages webapp to VueJS. I had already scaffolded one page to check everything was working correctly. Just hit up on a problem with the multi agents, split responsibilities...
The latest entrant in the coding-agent-constructed web browsers is here, this one by @emsh.cat, and it's REALLY impressive - 3 days of development, 20,000 lines of Rust, no Cargo dependencies and it renders HTML+CSS extremely well simonwillison.net/2026/Jan/27/...
One Human + One Agent = One Browser From Scratch

If you're a developer surrounded by people debating the utility of LLMs, you are being misled. The advent of agents decisively settles the conversation. The real question is: how do you ship software that leverages their power? I spent 2025 answering this question networkgames.fyi/the-year-eve...

The year everything changed
Far from my best years being behind me, it feels as though everything in my life has been leading to this moment: building a completely new category of product where the most useful lessons come not f...

Subzero temperatures so I've turned the flow temp on the boiler up... But the house is warm at 48C. Not too bad @tomasmcguinness.bsky.social I'm thankful for all the various videos you've done on low flow temps 🙌
@tombuildsstuff.bsky.social @locally.build long flight coming up... Any chance I could try out Locally?
Would have been cheaper to buy them... But I managed to actually grow some chillies this year 🔥
@tombuildsstuff.bsky.social Hiya... I'm still hanging out for an invite 😁

Excellent read and one I completely agree with! SPAs have not delivered on their promises and lead to huge amounts of complexity with very little gain (especially for glorified CRUD applications)
We were told SPAs are the future. But what if that story was wrong? In my latest Simplicity-First essay, I dig into the controversial clash shaping modern web architecture. www.linkedin.com/pulse/kill-b... #SimplicityFirst #WebDev #SoftwareArchitecture
This is a blog post about how to use Aspire to write custom deployment code to deploy a static site. More importantly, it's really about the current shape of deployment abstractions in Aspire and how the space is evolving. blog.safia.rocks/2025/09/07/a... #aspire

Running different scenarios past Gemini 2.5 flash and pro...very different responses.
A couple of weeks ago at a company off-site the CEO asked why it was possible to use #ai and #vibe code a PAS in the matter of days but we aren't seeing the same results in the rest of the product... there's the obvious answer about how Greenfield app development is always faster than brownfield...
To overcome this problem a few months ago I #vibe coded a #fhir based patient administration system (PAS). It uses really boring tech, #dotnet razor pages, very minimal JavaScript and a #fhir server backend.
Working in #healthtech has many challenges, the team I'm currently in is in the scheduling space. Reducing the problem significantly, we're offering slots to patients, and then automating the booking back into the PAS/EPR. #reducingthebacklog
@davidfowl.com any tips on building a AddLazyRabbitMQ() extension for #aspire? Basically I want to wrap AddRabbitMQ but check if there is already a broker running and if so return an IResourceWithConnectionstring instead of starting a new container image of RabbitMQ
Coming to an ASP.NET Core HTTPS development certificate near you soon...
More AI stuff in another @devbetter.com session this afternoon. We continued building out the dice roller. Tried #visualstudio instead of VS Code for a bit, still using GitHub Copilot Chat in Agent mode. Still Claude Sonnet 4. But it was terrible. Kept deleting most of the file it was "fixing"
I guess this is what we're going to be building instead of code because god knows it doesn't exist today
