The WNBA has never had a trans woman play in the league’s 30-year history and now the right and other anti-trans activists are hammering the league over something that has never been an issue, proving once again it isn’t about protection but exhibiting cruelty toward trans people.

Still can’t over the fact that the president of the United States just told an entire state to pound sand after getting cyberattacked by a foreign adversary because they didn’t vote for him and it was treated like a Tuesday lol

Spokane, Washington. In 2024 governments gave $725,000,000,000 of taxpayer money directly to the fossil fuel industry. We’ve PAID to inflict these horrors on our world. Our children are going to pay a great deal more. We are nowhere near angry enough.🤬🤬🤬 Climate Dad

Mark Carney promised "elbows-up" nation-building. What Canadians are getting instead is a carve-out economy—where environmental protections, Indigenous rights, and labour standards are treated as obstacles to growth, write @shirip.bsky.social and Eve Saint.

Police beating a lawyer in a client interview room and then police clearing them of all wrong doing is to scare women defence lawyers at their jobs. There is a concerted effort in Canada to lay off, intimidate, and remove women from the workforce— fascism like smoke, doesn’t stop at border.

Running out of body bags, using forklifts to transfer corpses into makeshift morgues, a mortician conducting 200 funerals in a month when he usually does 30, crematories running at double capacity… And these senators just want to memory-hole it all www.nytimes.com/2020/04/30/n...

The headline should read: Huge order of imported bacon from Canada sent back due to the lack of the US being able to inspect the bacon. Nothing to do with Canada. Headline is gaslighting as if it's Canada's failing. It is not.

I have a name change hearing tomorrow and I get so giddy knowing I actually get to be Jennifer soon. Like, officially. I'll get to sign my name as that. I won't have to put it as my "preferred name" on medical paperwork or see the wrong name on my paychecks.

Share your trans joy so that others know it's possible.

Dr. Anita Patel speaks about the conditions she witnessed at the Dilley detention facility: “I am not here as a politician or an activist. I am here as a doctor… We are not just harming the children inside detention. We are traumatizing an entire generation of children.” #SheShed

A lot of liberal foreign policy thinkers on here remain totally and intentionally obtuse about what their preferred party and their ideology has wrought in the Middle East and how thoroughly their unconditional support for Israel has discredited them

Do you know what China's been doing while we've been dropping bombs and allocating more money for new weapons? Beating us on alternative energy, manufacturing, high speed rail, technology, microchips, and infrastructure.
