I think a stronger case can be made over cost/benefit of deporting someone who's been here earning an honest living for years, staying out of trouble w the law, and often, even being an objectively positive factor in their community. Why would we spend $10G to kick them out? What's the benefit?
What the president brags of, in his treatment of Venezuela, seems hardly different from his treatment of California or Washington state: pocketing their revenues, denying them aid, sacking them for plunder.

Gill: All 100 senators last week passed a non-binding resolution condemning any pardon for Ghislaine Maxwell. They're simultaneously considering confirming the guy who met with her and moved her to a low-security facility as the top cop in the United States. That is so insane to me.
She's one of a couple republicans told she can vote no. If she weren't up against Troy Jackson, she'd totally confirm Blanche.
