Blackstone Valley, RI 👟🚲🚌💾🪡 Abolish ICE. Cars ruin everything. Trans rights are human rights. "I missed the boat once when I was young and stupid, but now I am able to miss the boat repeatedly with great skill and accuracy." -Fish

I get that American cities in general were in rough shape in the middle of the 20th century, but I just can't for the life of me fathom how anyone ever thought this was a good idea.

aerial photo of downtown Providence RI sometime around 1950 with a ribbon of cleared land that used to contains hundreds of buildings and one beloved city park (Hayward Park) showing the path where I-95 will be built. Part of the original routing of I-195 has already been built.

Awful stretch of road for any type of user, but especially for pedestrians. RIDOT has blood on its hands again. This is a 5-lane road in a residential area with a 35mph speed limit, but its design allows for drivers to regularly go 45+ between the end of Route 99 and the Mendon/Cumberland Hill split
