I've been living in Finland for almost 7 years. This past year, I've seen a significant worsening of every aspect of life here, especially for immigrants and women. The news in a nutshell: racism, no jobs, violence, lower social security, no snow, refusal of immigrants. Wishing for a better 2026.

One week to go! I am recruiting a postdoc, call ends October 7 🍃🌿☘️ In ecology, University of Helsinki is the leading university in Finland and the Nordics and the fifth-best in Europe (ShangaiRanking's 2024). And for 8 years in a row, Finland is still the happiest country in the world :-)
