It is a constant source of anger to me how, without dismissing the harm Tories caused, so many people who condemned the Conservatives anti-asylum/immigration policies are happy to defend Labour's when they are actively worse in practice. Bad policy doesn't cease to be bad based on who implements it.

Pro-Palestine protesters, who sprayed red paint and broke some windows, are about to be sentenced as *terrorists*. Neither they nor the jurors were told of this possibility during their trial for criminal damage. So they were unable to defend themselves against this far more serious charge.
In April, the Starmer government passed an Act of Parliament enabling the police to shut down any protest they deem to have a “cumulative” impact on the community. The only protests that have ever succeeded are those with a cumulative impact. Effective protest is now illegal.

He says that "every unnecessary day on the ward feels like precious time fading away". Too many disabled people are losing their independence this way

Universal credit usually drops about 55p for every pound that you earn. PIP drops 0p, because getting back to work doesn't remove any of those extra expenses. Framing it as otherwise is a lie intended to hurt disabled and chronically ill people.
